Secondary Schools, Colleges & PRUs

Challenger Troop’s secondary programmes identify existing individual skills in young people and not only seek to enhance those skills, but develop new abilities.

Through a combination of challenging personal development activities in a disciplined outdoor environment, our staff ensure that all young people progress and achieve in activities which they otherwise might not have experienced.

Using teamwork and leadership activities, together with mentoring of others and a good deal of personal progression, students can work towards a number of nationally recognised accredited qualifications, while enhancing their life skills through the overall Challenger Troop experience.

“I used to be naughty and I never thought I could achieve anything, I thought I was stupid, Challenger Troop showed that if I try I can achieve, so now I will always try my hardest.”

"Outdoor learning is giving them back their childhood wonder and curiosity at new things, allowing them to experience the marvel of discovery and the learning that comes from taking risks"
