A Roaring Success: Our Open Day Event
On June 27th, we had the pleasure of hosting our inaugural open day event. Local dignitaries and educators joined us for a day filled with inspiring talks, engaging demonstrations, and a tour of our remarkable Highsted Outdoor Activity Centre near Sittingbourne.
Visitors were treated to firsthand accounts of the positive impact our programmes have on children and young people. Current users of our provision shared their personal experiences, highlighting the transformative nature of our military-inspired approach. Education professionals also provided valuable insights into the benefits of incorporating our programs into their curriculum.
Our experienced instructors showcased the unique ways in which our teams at Challenger Troop CIC engage with young people. From outdoor adventures to team building activities, visitors witnessed firsthand how we improve outcomes in behavior, attendance, and attainment. Our commitment to empowering educators and motivating students to reach their full potential was evident throughout the event.
Highlights of the event included:
- Inspiring talks: We heard from head teachers about the positive impact our programmes have had on their students.
- Guided tour: We explored our Wild Tribe Camp site, obstacle course, bushcraft area, center camp, and command task area.
- Interactive demonstrations: we observed our experienced instructors engaging with participants firsthand.
We are delighted by the success of our open day event and look forward to welcoming more visitors in the future.
