Broomhill Bank Navigates Bedgebury Pinetum!
A group of adventurous youngsters from Broomhill Bank School recently embarked on a thrilling introduction to navigation course at Bedgebury Pinetum in Kent. Led by the experienced Sergeants Kavanal and Gambell, the children put their map-reading skills to the test, learning to navigate their way through the beautiful woodland trails.
The explorers weren’t alone in the woods! Much to their delight, they encountered the legendary Gruffalo during their travels. Luckily, with Sergeant Kavanal and Gambell by their side, there was no need to be scared! The intrepid group even managed to capture a fantastic photo opportunity with their instructors and the mythical creature.
This navigation course marks the halfway point of Broomhill Bank School’s Challenger Troop programme. The adventure continues next week when they’ll soon be venturing to a local outdoor activity centre in Tunbridge Wells where they’ll be honing their bushcraft, climbing, and firecraft skills. We’ll keep you posted on their progress.
